Hi all - So it was 18 years with DPReview, so it feels a little strange trying out a new place. Was actually at the airport in Singapore waiting to catch the plane to Sydney when I saw the news about the shutdown via email on my phone. Like many of us, I thought it was some sort of scam email, but unfortunately I was wrong. So here we are, at the start of a new chapter. Sad for what has passed, but looking forward to what will be. And for my first post, I'll share some of my images from the trip to Australia. Curious to see how they will look here.
[This is actually my second attempt ... dropping in images crashed my browser the first time around]

Hi, and nice to see you here!

FWIW, it appears there's a way to have image attachments be displayed inline in your post (so that they can be seen in the thread rather than users having to open them separately.

How it works is that after you upload an attachment, you get a corresponding box like this:

    ImageAttachment.png

If you then place the cursor where you want the image to appear in your post and click the gray button second-from-right in the attachment box, a link to the attached image is imbedded inline.

Hopefully as the site develops they'll provide a less clunky (and more intuitive) way of doing this. But for now that seems to be how it works...
