Flowers from our garden

Most years past I've been much more diligent and interested in photographing our garden.
Seems I've gotten a case of bird brain and can't focus on much else.
Well, just for a change of pace, here's a few from our garden.

Misc. other things in the garden:

A very nice selection Jim. I think we have all of those clematis plants, but they don't do well. We have an invasive vine that interferes with their growth and it is next to impossible to get rid of it. The fern looks like a Japanese fern. We have one of them, but yours could be different. No idea what the last is but it looks familiar like we may have had it in the garden before, if it is an annual. Love the hydrangea. It requires chemicals to turn blue. We had some but they perished. Summer drought here is an issue from time to time and watering must be done by carrying buckets to the plants located away from the house. Sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't! We have attempted in recent years to plant things that require less water because our well is limited in flow rate and affected by drought.

The hydrangea is new this year (a gift from a garden gathering she went to) and it's called "Pop-Star".
The color is dependent on the soil ph, she actually doesn't want it to be blue.

The colorful annual is a dianthus.

I forgot to include her martagon lily.

Looking top Jim. Lovely to see the colours and the plants thriving. Roses seem to be doing well - here they are magnificent this year. If only we could smell the pics

Lovely garden, Jim .... Your wife is doing a good job and it is work as I've watched my wife working there .... She generally wants to keep my three thumbs and big feet out of the garden as I try to get close for the right background and framing ... she'd rather see the flowers in the ground than on the screen or wall ....

Same here WN. It's her garden. I get to build trellises and haul dirt/mulch or sift compost. She likes me to take pictures, but she takes a lot on her iPad now which she organizes much better than I do ...
