An interesting thread. I'll throw a few in the pot. These are all captured in the natural setting where I found them but a few have been extricated and placed on artistic backdrops and "worked" in photoshop. It's easy to tell which are which.
Thanks - beautiful leaves with an interesting and strong glow! 👍 I think we've got similar plants like that around here as well, but I've never notices how much light they reflect. Tend to think they might give some interesting opportunities to play with the light at different times of day.
Wonderful shots - thanks for sharing these! They're all very different and beautiful in their own way. Love the combination of colors in the first one above, the frame-filling foliage in the second (we haven't seen too many like that yet...) and the wonderful light and simple but highly effective composition in the third. Very distinct and interesting ways of shooting leaves - excellent work!
Thank you.
These leaves were trapped in a frozen pond but I photographed them just as the ice had melted in the early afternoon.
They have also been given some "Orton" effect.
I absolutely love how the visible grain elevates this! 👍 Excellent work and it reminds me that I've got to experiment with adding texture from time to time... if used tastefully it can have a similar effect in my opinion, however you need quite a bit of experience to do that, which I still lack.
