Fuji Temporary Film Sales Halt

I'm happy to have a place to collaborate again as I'm still shooting film on a regular basis and enjoy the community. I was a member on the other site but didn't post often as I should have in the film forum. Regardless, I was sent this link about Fuji suspending sales on 35/120 film and found some of the comments interesting. I remember reading a conspiracy theory a while back claiming Fuji was possibly using large rolls of frozen film stock in recent years, and haven't actually made new film in a while. I know it's just a conspiracy but one of the comments caught my attention lending some credence to the theory. One of the users mentioned that they've had to overexpose a little on all of their new Fuji 35mm films for the last couple of years, as if it was older stock needing a little more light to be exposed properly. I've actually noticed the same thing with several of my cameras while shooting with Fuji Superia 400 and found those observations intriguing for sure. I'm not one for conspiracy theories but I hope this one isn't true. I don't want this to be the end of another brand/family of film.

This temporary suspending sales is only because of the shortage of raw materials. Fuji can't produce as much as they want (and the market wants)
Fuji will not take any orders for the time being.
This will affect basically all 135/120 films (Color, BW and slide)

There’s been some interesting theories circulating for a while about whether or not Fuji are actually still producing film (other than instax). There seems to be some evidence that they’re actually rebranding Kodak stock in some cases - youtu.be/KurDWtdPmic

Film that is a few years old in cold storage does not toned to be overexposed any more than fresh film. This story of master rolls sitting in storage for years is nothing more than another conspiracy theory.
