I was curious as to what it would cost to replace all my Fuji gear with the equivalent Canon. No, I'm not about to jump ship, but I was wondering. So, an hours browse around to get equivalent lenses and prices (I took them from Wex - so not necessarily the cheapest) and I produced the table below.
The comparison was between my X-T5 and the equivalent in FF and APS-C from Canon. So, the R6 Mk 2 and the R7 (because it has IBIS). Of course, with Canon and APS-C, they don't have very good lenses, so I've gone for an EF-R converter and then looked at SF and EF-S lenses.
My conclusion is that close equivalent is hard - but R based systems are about 60% more expensive and an APS-C one is about the same price, but uses older lenses.
Anyway, it kept me amused for a short while. Enjoy the results.
