Although it's not supposed to be out until tomorrow, you can download and install the Fuji Xapp for Android & IOS - see the play store (Android) or the app store (Ios) to find it.

I just installed it on my Android phone and it worked OK. I was able to connect and take a picture remotely. I also backed up my settings. I'm not sure what settings are included, but I hope all of them.

Fuji, you really are starting to irritate me. First the new X-H series in a PASM body, no battery charger, no click dials etc. The 150-600 not fully compatible with older cameras. Now the new app not compatible with older cameras.

(Opens a beer and retires to corner muttering).

PS has anyone tried the 150-600 on X-H1 yet?

I share the concern about older cameras, I think it’s a shame they couldn’t make this support all the wifi cameras in some limited way as the old app did; and certainly Bluetooth enabled cameras like the XH1 and XE3 should have been included. The fear now is that they’ll all be abandoned when Fuji inevitably pull support on the old app and it drifts out of date.

That said, the new XApp looks good and appears to work well with my (updated) X-Pro3. Connecting and transferring images all went off fine without any of the quirks/workarounds/long waits or complete failure inherent in Cam Remote. I’m hopeful the geotagging should work well and more reliably (updating more often) than the previous app too. Don’t fully follow what any of the activity stuff is about so waiting for others to trial that and report back in due course…

The XApp is compatible with several older cameras, like X-T30, which was released 4 years ago. In the Summit, Fuji mentioned some limitations about BT. Perhaps there are limitations related to the different processor in older cameras? Given the tight economic crisis we are still going through, maybe Fuji decided not to spend the money in the older cameras? Many new functions are also dependent on the local network, for example the App does not work in some regions/countries.

Still, there are 12 X cameras listed as supported, including several older ones, so I think it is reasonable.

I just got the X-app for my GFX100S.

It requires a body software update to v2.00.

Maybe software updates will yet be available for cameras that are not supported as of today.

I only used cam remote to transfer pictures from my camera to my IPad. I would often have trouble making the connection between the two and also keeping the connection. The Xapp works great. Once the camera and the app have been paired, each time I need to use the app, I just turn the camera on and do everything in the app. It works well.

It looks like the new app has been pulled from the playstore.
I'm guessing they found a problem already

That link doesn't work for me. I get "the requested URL was not found on this server"
I'm sure it'll become available again at some point

Interesting - it works for me whenever I'm signed into my Google account, assuredly because I already installed it yesterday, but when I try it in a different browser, I get the same as you. But yes, this ought to be just a temporary thing either way.

It’s disappeared from the iOS App Store too - I can see it in my “purchased” list, but clicking through gives an error message, and it can’t be found in search. Looks like Fuji have pulled it for some reason.

They did say it was supposed to launch today, it may never have been meant to be available before now..

Finally got my X-pro 3 connected to my Android phone with the new Fujifilm xapp. Make sure to update your firmware to 2.0 or the app won't connect to your phone.

Not in the Google Play store here either, even if you search for it using the exact name. Just the old, broken, Camera Remote app. An auspicious start...

I was able to download from the Apple Store for my IPad Mini 5. Using link above I got mixed results. On my Samsung Note 8 and Samsung Tab S4, I made it to Google Play and got a "device not compatible". I got a "page not found" when attempting to use my Tab S7+.
