What about Alaska? Isn't that part of the USA but North of Canada? Or is my map knowledge deficient.

You drive east. Not due south.

Now we come down to semantic discussions about what you said and what you meant to say
    Screen Shot 2023-04-21 at 17.19.34.png
The border runs North-South, but when you cross it you're definitely driving more South than East. And there isn't a kink in the road at the crossing to make you head East just as you cross. (at least, not as far as I can see on Street View). You've tightened up the requirement by saying 'due South', but that wasn't what you said in the original post.

    * exposure - amount of light that struck the sensor per unit area while the shutter was open
** optimal exposure - the maximum exposure* within dof and motion blur requirements without clipping important highlights.
*** under exposed - more exposure* could have been added with the DOF and blur constraints still being met without clipping important highlights.

And I am leaving dprevived 😊

I'm still wondering if I should do the same move.

This is the level of pedantry that makes this and DPReview so obnoxious at times.

Windsor is south of Detroit. Canada is east of Alaska. “Well… if you travel west from Alaska, eventually you’ll end up in Canada!”

Perhaps the tunnel if the Ambassador Bridge isn’t north south enough.

Nah. Detroit is way south of Windsor.
    Detroit is 42° 19′ 53″ N.
    Windsor is 51° 28′ 45″ N.

One (or some?) of the Aleutian Islands are across the international date line, effectively putting Alaska in the Far East.

Part of it is on the other side of the International Date line. Not an unambiguous definer of east/west, though.

Fun Fact: Pensacola FL is on a line almost directly south of Chicago, IL.

Fun Question: If you fly 3000 miles directly south from Chicago, where are you?

Answer: Over the Pacific Ocean, several hundred miles off the West Coast of South America.

My fun fact, well actually it's not much fun for people who weren't aware of it, is that posting images online is effectively giving them away for free for others to download and do what they like with them.

My take on that: I never post the best of any series.
