Trying out the Mitakon 65mm F1.4 lens on GFX. Not a fan of manual focus lens, but loving the bokeh and soft focus of this lens.
...ok!! I'm liking this, looking very filmic and not much like I've seen before from the GFX (or maybe yes, from the GF 80mm).
Now to using this manual focus lens on a model shoot?
Of this brand I'm also interested in the stranger rendering of the 'older' Mitakon 85mm ...but I have a Minolta MC 85mm f1.7 which behaves very well on the GFX - and is much lighter weight!
Going to need a very very still model hahaha
They did make a G mount of their 85mm 1.2 lens, but it was just a mount change from their FF version. That lens vignettes a good amount from what I hear.
How does the balance with the body feel like? What turned me off from this lens is that its just over a kg.
How does it handle?
Can you hold it steady hand held?
It is heavy. Only slightly heavier than the 110mm, but being smaller in size, it is front heavy. I do not want to handhold it, I feel like I will have a shaky image.
Ok thanks. I think I will hold off.
Hopefully Fujifilm comes out with a mk2 version of the 63mm, thats faster. But since the 55mm f1.7 still isn't out yet, I will not be holding my breath
If and when 5mm f1.7 comes out, Fuji need to work on getting 45mm f1.7 and 63mm f1.7 lenses.
