The very first dragonfly I captured was one of these which tend to hang around in the fields more than a water source. Their action is a little more towards that of a butterfly than the fast straight lines of their cousins.

You have an endless variety of insects it seems. This one is very pretty.
Thanks Nigel. We are in summer now so they are around - including mosquitoes...
We have agressive mosquitoes too, in the Po valley.
