Great Horned Owl at Sunset

This is the mother of the owlets I've been photographing. She is about 100 feet up and the tree she is in about 50 feet from the nest. Seeing her glowing red in the sunset light was very special.

Do you know how hard it is to turn the little wheel to precisely 0.0000000000001 more?

While there are obscure signs like droppings on the ground or tree trunk, one of the big giveaways is the lack of birds in an area where they usually are. While those signs help, I frequently spot them as I scan the trees and this can be hard as they are so well camouflaged and stand so still. When they move they give them selves away.
