This thread is an homage to him and his own idea of photography.

SimpleJoy gave me a great vision:
what my brain was envisioning decades ago (and never wasted films on it) was not a stupid representation of my mind but a great way to tell a story.

I've learned something from your shot, and I'll try to use your tomato idea !

Thanks a lot for your kind words and the shoutout - it makes me very happy to hear that I was able to help a little bit in encouraging some experimentation and re-examination of previous ideas!

That being said, I don't feel like I could encourage anyone to try and use my kind of (chaotic) approach to photography in good conscience... 😅 Let's be honest, it's very limited both in scope of ideas as well as technically (there are, of course also some reasons for that...). And don't get me started on the captions... 😉 I'm sure there's a vast number of people out there you can get a lot more inspiration from who probably also document their approaches and techniques... (For example I'm very impressed by all the experimental images, techniques and the according documentation @JimKasson shows on his excellent blog, like this fore example: www.kasson.com/gallery/this-green-growing-land/

As someone so early in his photographic journey (I'm actually somewhat surprised it's still ongoing, as I would have assumed it might be over in a year or two) and experimentation, I'm thankful to be able to learn from all of you here (and in particular all the kind people in the C&C thread)!

I love the creative tomato shots @AlainCh2 and @TimoK ! They look great and are very unique in their own right. Excellent work!

Because of that I would recommend changing the title of this thread to

"The great tomato thread"

and continue on trying to push the boundaries in whatever direction it takes us... 👍

The tomato thread only was a joke by me. I did not mean to change this thread's title. Your idea of mimicking SimpleJ was better, more challenging. 😏Fortunately you kept both things in the title. 👍

A hard act to mimic 😀 Z9 with 105mm Z macro not sure where the Exif escaped to , I was playing with the neural filters on PS . I thought that the stems looked a bit like barbwire protecting the tomatoes

That posed two separate questions

Usually Tomatoes don't fly - Pigs do, I know

It took me several days mumbling,....
...Suddenly a light turned on > Gravity!!! I will use Phisycs and WIN !!!
. . . . What I need is to fully preset the camera for TIF

The easier but with a doubt: * One shot with multiple Tomatoes

Would it be valid solution using reflections - technically it's only one tomato

I loved the tomato thread so much I had to shoot something new and experimental, in the spirit of simplejoy. I have never used the double/blended exposure mode on my camera so I set out to do it. Fun, I'll try it again. I've done the exposure stacking which is a cousin of this method, but not the double exposure thing.
