I recommend this excellent video from Andy Rouse about using the digital teleconvertor on the OM-1. It is very detailed and suggests that there are times when it is a very useful tool. He talks about plusses and negatives, when you should use it and when you shouldn't. I tried it when I first got the camera but thought that it fell short of the EX Tele Conv on my G9 but having watched this video, I may give it another go. You need to watch the entire video to understand his best advice.
