Have I finally settled on my long term camera?

I have had several bridge style cameras in the past including a Dimage 7hi, Fujifilm S9600, Fujifilm X-S1 and the Sony RX10iv (which I bought twice!). I have recently gone back to a Pentax K5 and loved the output but hated the unreliable AF and back focussing or front focussing lenses, so I bought a cheap second hand Lumix FZ200 to try because I have never owned a Panasonic except for a LX100 once, which I was not impressed with. The FZ200 was so fun to use and had a super sharp lens as good as the Sony RX10iv in my opinion but the EVF was not great and the build quality very plasticky but I was very impressed with the images from the tiny sensor. So I have now upgraded to a Lumix FZ330 which has improved on all the things lacking with the FZ200, the EVF is a big improvement, the AF is super fast and accurate and it has some weather sealing. The build quality is better, even though it is still plastic, it feels more robust and premium and it's a lot lighter than the X-S1 or the RX10iv. Here are a few of my first photos with the FZ330

The pictures look good. And, if you are happy with how it behaves and what it produces, then who are we to argue.

i owned and loved the panasonic fz150, it was a fun camera and took great images ,i put a canon 500d closeup filter
on for excelent no fuss macro shots. i went from there to the em5 and em52 with the 14 150 for my compact kit, but now i have just bought the sony a6700 + 18 135 for a really good walk around kit. but the sigma 30 1.4 on the tiny a6700 is the ultimate FF equivalent kit.

The FZ300/330 is an excellent camera of its type - I've seen people get VERY good results with it. Of course it has its limitations, but as long as you accept them... Enjoy using it and keep posting

And Old Sarum is an interesting place

Nobody has ever asked me what camera I used to take a shot (apart from other photographers). Viewers do not care.

    So be happy.
