That's because life has integrated into the technology. I worked in an office park once where a backhoe severed a fiber optics cable while digging. No electricity, no computers. etc. We did have phone service, but no way to took up phone numbers to call customers. It's times like that when you realize most businesses, and to a similar extent, individuals are extremely dependent on the technology we have created. And we do it that way because the majority of us think it is better to have the tech than not have it.

Grumbling about the way things are is 100% pointless. Could our business go back to rolodexes and manual ledgers to run the office? Of course, no point in bragging about dumb tech, we did it before we can do it again. But why would we. It would be an exercise in stupidity.

I'm not a big phone lover myself, but your obsession with tracking just makes you sound tinfoil-hat. Our government, for one, are arseholes of the highest order, but I would happily bet you £1000 that they have not, and do not track the population with our phones.

Room full of 5th graders more like it. You phonetard crusaders get tiresome real fast.

Do you make a habit of insulting people? Some of us don't like it.

Not really, in fact quite the opposite. But then, I have a very low tolerance for some of the ignorant A-holes on this site. Reminds me of this:

Many are in this video explaination.

Er, I said they're not routinely tracking everyone's movements, which is a very different thing to listening in on some phone calls. Phone tapping was around long, long before mobile phones, so you've proved absolutely nothing.

Still not an example of general tracking of the population. I understand that you may be troubled by this. My not sharing your concern, at least not to the degree that you do, is not indicative of unawareness or ignorance on my part. I recognize that there are valid concerns about carrying a tracking device 24/7. So far, the advantages outweigh the disadvantages in my personal calculus.
