Here is a HDR image of the waxing crescent Moon from last night with my Sony ZV-E10 and Canon 400mm f/5.6 USM lens. The image is composed from five photos taken in 0.3 EV increments then layered and aligned to create the HDR (high dynamic range) image. Fancy words for saying I made an image that more closely resembles what our eyes can see as far as the dynamic range of light. Our eyes see a greater dynamic range of light than consumer cameras can generally capture in a single photo, but we can capture multiple photos at different light settings and combine them into a single image to increase the dynamic range of light.
