As the forum matures I’d like to see Photography News at the top and have the site-specific bits moved to the bottom. Assuming that is that the forum is about photography, not the ins-and-outs of forums.

I agree - and we will change it. For now, while the site is developing, it will stay as it is - but in the next few days or early the week after, I will look at this.
