It is that time of year again, when I make copies of my old photography.
I have found my B&W negatives developed at home, even in the grotty flats I rented in London are still as good as the day I developed them, as long ago as 1975. Kodachrome slides have lasted well too, even after Fifty years. Ektachrome developed in a professional lab forty years ago are still good. My almost Fifty year old Agfachrome slides have turned purple with age, and are devilishly difficult to duplicate.
How has your photography from the past lasted?
Brick Lane in the early Eighties.
An Agfachrome, from about 1975. The colour has almost vanished from the original.
