    Hi folks

I just came across this news: Meta AI Releases the Segment Anything Model (SAM). They have a site: Segment Anything.

Is it my dream came true? In 2020 I created a thread DP-not-yet-retired Garbage collection program that was quite unsuccesful. Yet I am still hopeful.

As it is today SAM is just as idiotic as all the tools I have seen so far. Since the type of stuff I usually want to remove are the wires, cables, lines, etc., that mar landscapes I tried my luck with the picture of the Brooklin bridge and attempted to remove the suspension cables. I couldn't even select one.

Maybe it's still in the making but as of now it's not convincing.

    What's your take folks?

    Nick
