How Old Are You?
And I mean physical age, not mental age which would be a different poll all together 😀
With 3700+ members it could be useful to get an idea of the age variations of members here.

You are asking for our age but did not disclose yours.😒. I am 68.
Sorry, I had to create this thread before I could actually create the poll. That is just the way polls work here at the moment 😕
I'm 37 years old... quite an insignificant age, but I kinda enjoy it! (Fun fact: a vast majority of my lenses is significantly older than I am! 😄)
Shutter up! I'm not too old! by simple.joy, on Flickr

Not only mentally it can change on a daily basis, physically one day I feel like a young god next day it can be like a old grumpy man 🤣
But according to my parents they created me somewhere in 1972 😂

Can you provide an intelligent reason for such a poll?
Do parallel universes exist?

Doo-do doo-do doo-do doo-do…
I’m 21 and have been that same age since 1987 😂
Hi,
Well, for the past year, I happily had swappable digits for my physical and mental ages. So I was mentally 16. :)
But now that is in the past and the scheme no longer functions. I am mentally younger than 26. ;)

The issue of the age profile of users has arisen in several threads - see for example “The decline continues” - validly, I think. Knowing the age profile of the readership would be thought to be a common piece of market research. Since it’s anonymous, it’s at worst harmless and at best potentially useful. As Greg has pointed out above, an exactly similar poll is running on DPR at the moment which has attracted a larger total number of votes. At the time that I looked at it, there were 75 votes in total and just under 25% of them were below 60. I don’t think this can be good news for the camera manufacturers or even, possibly for the long term future of photography discussion sites!
It's the same in the motorcycle industry. Most of us are 'old fogies' and I know the manufacturers are worried by it long term.

It will be interesting to see if the age distribution on this poll will converge with the DPR poll's distribution or not. I don't expect a huge difference, but the audiences might differ a bit.

Aargh! I’ve just looked and it’s not anonymous! Was anonymity an option that Danno didn’t choose, or is it really impossible to set up an anonymous poll? If it is, I would regard this as a bug!

Danno's poll has varying 'bin' sizes (20,10,5) which affects the appearance of the distribution. DPR's bin size is constant (10) and would look different to this one, even with an identical distribution ...
It appears to be anonymous for members. At least, when I checked with my user account, I could not see who had voted

You are a 'facilitator' and, as such, are allowed to see who has voted.
