Given the more than respectable age of the participants.

It would be better to write bigger 😁

It's interesting who can see the votes and who can't 😉 😀

Whilst not a scientific poll I'm surprised the age demographic is older than I'd suspected. Interesting.

The results would be very different on TikTok or Instagram.

It's why they spend all their time making replicas of 1960's and 70's bikes. The nostalgia market sells. Same thing is happening in the camera industry.

It would be easy to make them converge - Danno’s 0-20 category could easily be 11-20 as there (almost) certainly won’t be any 10 year olds or younger on this site, and the 5 year category widths could be summed to give a constant width of 10 across the whole poll.

    No surprises here.

80% of forum members will be 40 years old and up for sure. At the Leica l-cameraforum, luminous landscape and rangfinderforum I would say the majority is 50-60+

The older we are, the more free time we have to spend in forums and other leisure activities.

I’ll be turning 54 in less than a month.

I'm not so sure about that. In fact I'd argue that millennials spend more time absorbing internet content than us oldies.

That's why the challenge for a new site like this is to work out how to attract more than a user base that will be dead in the next 10 to 20 years.

I'll be 90 on the fifteenth of this month. Looking at ten more years with the rangefinder cameras. I'll report then.

I have heard the Harley riders in the 90s were the same group as the Honda riders in the 60s. Those people have aged out and now Harley relies on international sales to keep the numbers up.

Now there is a demographic not interesting to advertisers except pharmaceutical companies.

69... the best year to be born! Being a teen during the 80s was something special. I am turning 54 in Nov.

@Mackiesback that is a terrible thing to say 😂 I thrive on learning a lot from older demographic. If wanted clueless information I'd join tiktok and get stupid pointless advice from my fellow demographic on there!

Yes, millennials and centennials spend lots of time on the internet, but not in camera forums like this one.

Another poll should be from the almost 4000 members here how many actually post something? I guess 80% of all the content is generated by maybe 80 people or so.

121 people have made 50 posts or more.

1441 people have made at least 1 post.
