It's not quite as transparent as DPReview, but this works for me.

For FireFox, install this extension: addons.mozilla.org/en-GB/firefox/addon/xifr/
Then if you hover the mouse over a picture and right click, an extra item is show which says 'View Exif Data'.

For Chrome (and, I assume Chrome clones such as Vivaldi), Install this extension chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/exif-viewer-classic/nafpfdcmppffipmhcpkbplhkoiekndck

Then, when you hover over a picture the exif data is shown in a blue border at the top of the picture.

Be aware that on this site, the large thumbnails that are generated do not include Exif data. But if you click on the URL below the picture and show that, the above methods should work.

I hope this helps. Please post any feedback (good or bad) here.

And it works with Vivaldi too. So I assume it will also work with Edge.

Another option for displaying EXIF data in Chrome or Firefox is EXIFY.
It displays the data on a black background at the bottom of the image nicely formatted.
If you click on the logo, it will display additional info, but doesn't give as many fields as exif-viewer-classic.
    [EXIFY example.jpg}(/a/JMuRvo2UOrGJI23dEF909dN98CclDnaptKcm7dIYjbulvk0E4kX7nMbwdoMnmXnw/1199/?shva=1)
    www.exify.io/

FYI: By putting images into a post using the picture link rather than the embed function - Exif data will be displayed on the image in the post.

PS: AlanSh - it would be nice if the large thumbnails included EXIF.
Why should embedded thumbnails act different than ones placed using the picture link?
    See my post here.

Large thumbnails don't have any exif information in them. That would need a change to how the thumbnail is generated. I'll get it added to the list, but I have no idea on the priority.

That has now been fixed. Thumbnails do have exif data. Thanks to 43Review.

Exif data is now present (thank you!), but please, can you copy color profile data also, at least to large (in-text) thumbnails? See also dprevived.com/t/the-site-mishandles-adobergb-or-prophotorgb-profiles/1832/post/15358/

That is in the bug list now.
