Thanks for the quick answer, to see the EXIF would be great already! One more little thing, or maybe I missed it, there should be an easy way to see the threads one has answered to. So far the icon for this in the personal menu seems not clickable, so I had to use the search to find the threads.

All in all a very good initiative, keep up the good work!đź‘Ť

Sorry, all fine, I just overlooked the location to find my threads. For those who haven't found it yet, it is under "See your profile" in the personal menu.

I'm starting to like this :)
A small thing: the text of the button 'disabled/enabled' for the subscribe to thread function isn't intuitive

    Hi

I think I am missing something here... When I have subscribed to a thread (not by email), where will I see if new posts have been created in the thread? I can see that they are "enabled", but I am unsure where to look for notifications.

Also, if you regularly read DPRevived using to computers (home and work), will the blue buttons update correctly, so that it will always be updated, which threads if have read the new posts?

    Thanks :)

    Ulrik.

Click the Threads link in the top menu. On that page click the button labeled All threads and choose Subscribed threads from the dropdown. VoilĂ !
    dprevived.com/threads/subscribed/

There are also lists of threads you've started and posts you've made in your profile

I was asking the same question yesterday and the developer of “misago” (the forum software here) confirmed that it’s top of their list for the next release - there will be an indicator soon showing when you have replies (and, optionally, likes). For the time being I just use the threads view and the “subscribed threads” option.

What's the difference? I must misunderstand something.

We’re just talking about a visual indicator, wherever you are in the site, that you have replies waiting to your subscribed threads - like the red flag that would appear in the top right of DPReview.

Going to look at the subscribed threads is a good workaround for now, but it’s something you have to manually do and might just show you have no replies to look at.

This came up in a few other posts, but figured best to add it here too since it seems to be an ongoing discussion on forum functionality. Like at DPR, I think a lot of people have their own photo galleries online for uploading photos, so for posting photos here, we will usually use URLs from our sites to post in these threads rather than upload from our computers. And this is very easy to do with the image icon in the task bar above the text box. But it seems so far to default to a very small image size which is not clickable to enlarge. It would be nice if the default posting size for embedded images from outside hosted sites was either larger, or had the ability to click to enlarge to the actual size.

The information seems to be there - if you right click on the small posted image, and choose 'open link in new tab', the image displays at the original size and EXIF is intact. Anything you can do for hosted images posted in threads going forward would be great - fully understand what a whirlwind of things you're working on and dealing with in short order, so thank you for the efforts!

I also like "Dark mode". It would be good to find a solution to be implemented. 🙂

Bob.... as far as forums go, I think this one can be even better than DPReview, because it will evolve and improve over time. It might never become a review site, or have all the features we had at Dpreview, but just having the forums is a big plus for me. The need for professional reviews has diminished over the past few decades, as the users themselves became more sophisticated and knowledgeable. But we always like to chew the fat, and talk about cameras and photography.

Agreed - I used Dark Mode as standard on DPReview, the white background is just far too bright.
