I was in Castell'Arquato and I put my Euro in the meter to turn the lighting on. Oh dear. The fresco was lit section by section as a voice explained the artwork.

I took a shot anyway. I was surprised just how much good detail I managed to bring out of the shadows. A bit of dodging and burning, meant you would never quess the scene was selectively lit.

Shot with a Nikon Z7 with Laowa 15 Zero D shift, on a tripod.

Yes it is a single shot processed from the first picture in this post.

I was amazed how much I was able to pull out of the shadows, without tons of noise. Our modern gear, really is remarkable.

Yes, indeed, the Z7 captures a huge amount of details that can be pulled out of the shadows.
Nice shot, always amazes me how dark it can be in such places and how you can hardly see all those intricate details. Especially in times gone by without any electric lighting, even when your eyes get accustomed to the darkness you can't fully see the beautiful colours.

I am also amazed. I thought at first that you had joined together a series of photos as each section was lit.

    Brilliant!
