Possibly, but it depends on how tight his blinders are cinched. Me thinks very tight...as in political hothead. But there's me speculating again.

Lazy in the context above is about you avoiding trying to rationalize irrational BS because it would take too much time (as in, forever), and that's also funny since you have clearly wasted a lot of time consuming that BS.
Another ostrich...
Really, not the way to convince anyone that your POV is one that they might be interested in.
Possibly, but I'm not heading down a rabbit hole with a Marxist.
I would never characterize myself as going down a rabbit hole. To me the term strongly implies a fantasy (it after all, is an allusion to Alice in Wonderland). If I were you, I would call it getting into the weeds.
Can you say time wasting...lol
Your closed mind is fully on display. What did you call that? Oh yes, being an ostrich.
He is trying hard to instigate.
I'm definitely having a bit of fun. Thanks for the entertainment.

He could equally say the he's not heading down a rabbit hole with a fascist, and it would be an equally convincing argument for failing to argue a point.

In the real world I refrain from discussing politics with strangers, or trying to proselytize. I have simply learned from a young age that understanding history from an economic perspective explains a lot about the present.

Glad to hear. It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye...

Yes, like when I spent half an hour or so working on a detailed response about how women have participated in hunting and warfare for as long as those things have existed and that there's nothing in their genes to controvert that, and then having a moderator blithely erase it as if we were living in an Orwellian universe (ahem, DPR). As for the metaphor, it is apt, and begs the question, shouldn't we be trying to see rather than gouge?

I suspect that you're working under a different definition of 'Marxist' from his.
Then again, it's intriguing to think that a Marxist would be particularly susceptible to being brainwashed by the capitalist US main-stream media.

Yeah, sure, I'd rather post another iconic kiss: The Socialist Fraternal Kiss.
Unlike the photo in the OP, looks pretty consensual to me! 😁
More like abuse of power. A boss kissing a staffer.
It was Communism. No bosses. 😉

@bobn2 has written:The point you were making was that it was the 'Mona Lisa' of test images, that is that it had some special quality as a test image.
No, this is the point you want me to have made but I did not, and I said that I did not.
Here you said:
BTW, all those people who might be upset today, have gladly used the same image in the not-so-distant past. It was basically the Mona Lisa of test images.
So now you claim that you didn't say that. How am I supposed to interpret that?
[deleted]
Mona Lisa in terms of fame. I also said that the technical part is not a factor, but it was addressed in the quotes I posted. Anyway, I want to stay away from that.
If it had no particular scientific value then no science has been harmed by editors deciding not to use it. The aim of scientific journals is to advance science, not to promote popular images. Nothing to see here.

@TonyBeach has written:I'm a Marxist, does that make me "loony?"
Absolutely.
Right back at you.
Everybody was equal but some were more equal than others.
Only two things have happened throughout history:
1) People were not equal.
2) People were equal but some were "more equal" than others.
We've been living in (2) for some time, now.
