Now might be a good time to point out that there is indeed a testing subforum for all your testing needs.

Thx! Did not noticed it !
That said needs occur when practicing in the field, not an excuse but the primary reflex occurs at nthe point you reveal the need

Someone needs to see the thread comparing the X-Pro1 to the X-T5 and tell me again why they think the new sensor is better...

With a prime lens in front of the xt5, the resolution is very impressive. Can't say how it compares to other fuji cameras.

Ah, but then someone will ask "define 'better'" and then the topic will go way off the rails.

As one who has never had an X-Pro1, I like the 40mp sensor, most of the time. But I also think that it's lenses that make the major difference and, if Fuji came out with a smaller sized sensor in a body that did what the X-T5 does (not PASM, lots of options, screen that does what the X-T5 does, decent viewfinder), I'd still be happy with it.

Exactly the same thought regarding my XH2

I'm happy with my X-E4, or X-E3, I even shoot my original Canon 5D from time to time with a smile. But it doesn't take how happy I am with the X-T5. It's very fast to operate, IQ is great, configuration options are great, OIS, etc... Those who feel happy with the X-Pro1 alone, great!

That's my issue - "better" has come to mean "resolution". As if that is the only standard to judge an image by.

And worse that mentality begs the question that a camera is immediately deemed inferior as soon as a new model is released.

So the new sensor is either much better or much worse...glad we got this sorted.

The big interest of the H2 is its cropping ability. With the frame cropped frame with the 2 cameras, you will get many more pixels with the H2.
The S has a much better AFC and tracking, nearly no RS effect with ES

There is not abetter one, but an intersting choice linked to need, prefernces, and practice
Again the 40 mpx need more care for focus and exposure to achieve the best results. The 26 mpx forgive probably less attention.
I take my H2 for landscape, architecture,...
I take the S for wildlife and fast action (sports, airshows, ...)
