In case anyone's interested, these are some examples of what the interframe data imprint looks like on various Nikon cameras
That is interesting, thanks.
The Nikon F80S seems to have the best print quality despite being the cheapest camera... presumably the technology improved over the years.
I have the Nikon F80S , I didn't realise that it printed between the frames .
I might switch that function on .
I’d thought that but it might be that the F80S was using Ektachrome, the others were using negativ3 film. I scanned some Ektachrome from a F6 the other day and it was better that the first example I posted. I’ll see if I can scan just the interframe printing. The F5 back is the most versatile, you can print copyright messages with your name between frames if you want.
I don’t know when you got your F80S, but that’s ~£100 worth of functionality you’re not using in twisting the little control on the back :-)
Hmm , we should have notifications of replies on the forum .
Sorry about the late reply .
I bought the camera about ten years ago for about £20 , with a 28-80mm lens attached , so even without using the function , I think I've had value for money .
Oh , and it came with batteries and a few roll's of film ! :)
