Yes, it's strange...
Mine logs in OK. I'm in Win 7, and FireFox still has my old login stored in 'Passwords'; in other words, I still don't have to manually log in.
I changed my DPR Password. It's still the same. For 5 to 6 days during the Transition it was Read Only so I couldn't do anything anyway.
Did DPR respond?
If you have same problem on multiple devices, then problem is likely at their end (unless you are using similar third-party security or VPN software on all devices for example - those may interfere with web traffic).
Had you problem on single device, I would recommend to clear site data (cookies etc) for dpreview and fully reload site.
It's the same problem on my Intel MacBook Pro (Monterey) and my iPhone SE 2 iOS 18.7.2. I hadn't heard back from DPReview.
Hi,
They likely are going to be a bit on the slow side responding. I think they are fighting the Battle of the Bugs at the moment.

I'm not the only one with this problem, Matthew Anderson from DPR replied to my email that they are working on resolving this issue for others, including me.
When a Resolution is found, it will be posted at the known issues Forum post.

Horsepower is still a problem, for sure.
My Gallery has just appeared for the first time, but only has some of my earliest photos.
Looks like they're working forward chronologically, so still using plenty of grunt.

You made me laugh when you mentioned the recent changes at the BoM a while back, as I listen to ABC Gold Coast radio most days, or is it nights?
I used to live in Manly, but I’ve been stuck in the UK since 2005 and it’s colder than a witch’s you-know-what!
I'm aware of this problem, and I discovered worse examples, for example Uwe Steinmueller (deceased) has over 10 identical profiles. I think Olga Johnson and others too. I'm not sure what can be done. I've highlighted the problem before to DPR. This Member Directory is accessible to me.

The old Australian BoM site is still up it seems. In October 2025 BoM moved to a new site. I have relatives in Sydney but I forgot where.
Morris Bennett Altman is probably one of the most Prolific Posters in DPR from when he joined. He had two accounts then DPR shut down his original account with 74500 Posts. He returned in 2017 and now has another 44820 Posts from Morris0.

The thread mentions Dave (Chato) from DPR's Off Topic days.
Posting as Morris0, he posts some excellent images and is quick to compliment other's achievements.
Hi,
Well, some progress made anyway. I hadn't paid attention to my post count prior to the old changaroonie. It was at 9k+ and is now showing 9500. So, I suppose that's correct. Yep, still not at 10k posts after 25 years.
My participation was always geared towards the technical topics rather than the photographic ones. That will slow down even more sans Threaded View as I don't see how we can keep a multi-level technical discussion to where it will make any sense in Flat View. I looked at a few recent technical discussions I was in and they are an unreadable mess now. No useful information will be gleaned by anyone from those now.
