It's very light and small and seems like a good match to a small camera like the X-S10/20. But is it good or poor? Any one got personal experiences?

Personally, I don't particularly like zooms and even less electric ones.

The 15-45 came with the purchase of a used X-Pro1. And I was particularly surprised by the quality of the results obtained with this little lens.

I have one and love it! The only downside is that is a tad slow. Outdoors during the day it works very well. Indoors you can survive without a flash if you raise the ISO and have decent lighting. The PZ does take some getting used to, but it’s not that bad. I use my almost exclusively on my XE3 and it’s a great lightweight combo.

    could you elaborate on that?
I'm tempted and probably would buy one if there is a nice price for buying with my next camera, but this is still holding me back (no experience with PZ)

PZ is very useful if/when you take video and want to zoom in and out - much smoother than zoom by hand.

I'm planning to buy an X-S20 with this lens. Consensus: great at 15mm, acceptable at 45. Owner's manual here:

Looks a bit mushy to me, not far off the center.

There no reason to hold back. The PZ just works differently. For starters, it tends to move slower than a manual zoom, which requires you to anticipate a tad more if you are shooting action shots.

The earlier firmware retained no memory of where the zoom was last set. As a result it would default to wide every time it was power cycled. Newer firmware gave the little lens memory so it now powers on at the focal length where it was last set/used. So make sure you check the firmware before you go too far.

Also your need to set it up in the camera so that the outside ring gives you fine zoom capability as opposed to focus. In this case, the larger ring in the “conventional zoom ring location” is a macro FL adjuster (think large movement of FL), and the other ring is a micro FL adjuster - more like a conventional zoom ring.

Buy it and you’ll soon learn the differences are no big deal.

True, edges are much less sharp than the center.

    www.lenstip.com/552.4-Lens_review-Fujifilm_Fujinon_XC_15-45_mm_f_3.5-5.6_OIS_PZ_Image_resolution.html

They conclude, "sensational image quality in the frame centre at 15 mm focal length, good image quality in the frame centre at 28 mm, ... weak image quality at 45 mm."
