Our local show is not till late August, quite a wait.
However I think I happened upon one while driving up the M11 a week ago, & saw a couple of WW2 fighters where up. Sadly I had no option to stop (on my way to work at a kart racing session).
I live in an area with several military bases. In addition to Langley, their is NAS Oceana. Their show is usually in September. In addition we have a very good military aviation museum in town. They usually run a WW1 show in the spring and a WW2 show in the fall. So I generally get to shoot 4 shows locally a year.
I think the active airbases around here stopped holding airshows over 30 years ago. The imperial war museum at Duxford (around an hour away) has several each year, if you can get tickets.
My local town has a free one near the pier - so I have to go to that 😁 - I missed it in 2020 because they'd said it was 'cancelled due to covid', but some of it still went ahead.
