This view jumps to the latest post when you click the link on the right
This view does not, and I think it should

If you click on a forum (e.g. "Open Talk") it lists all the threads there, in the order of the most recent first.
If you click on a parent (e.g. "Photography Discussion") it lists ALL the threads in the forums underneath - once again in thread order.What else were you after?

The link from threads goes to /last/
The link from categories (the one with the poster's image xxxx ago) goes to /new/
Should they be consistent? If so, I prefer /last

You have to click the rightmost item in the list entry for the thread, the one that shows how long ago the most recent post wast.

Are you sure you dont mean the link on the left?

Ah, yes. In the categories view on the right side, the title goes to new, and the xxx minutes goes to last. It matches the link pattern from the thread view.
