Crop
Robin
Well you caught me as I poured my first cup of coffee this morning and was starting to prepare breakfast … Better day than yesterday so far ..and a great way to start that day … Your heron does look a bit like the other heron I usually see that stays just across the river from me usually and he's been missing the last couple trips so ….. I liker your robin .. I think I would have preferred that the people who missed and introduced the starlings to these shores had missed your robins instead .. not sure what they'd have called them, though as the name was already taken …
Have a good day or just stop by and have some coffee with me later …
WhyNot
Both are nice shots Paul. I particularly like your Robin.
Very nice Paul! That new combination does well with the feather detail in the robin. Does it end up being significantly larger than your previous equipment used for these types of images?
Andrew
Thanks WN glad u liked them they could have just called him Robby 😀 The heron was vey close but sadly seen me and flew to the other side of the river 😀Paul
Thanks Jim one of my favourite little birds and the No 1 favourite Bird in the uk 🙂

It is a bit lighter and smaller Andrew the camera body is smaller and a bit lighter the lens about the same 🙂
The lens is the small 100-400 RF lens
Well that sounds like a good thing Paul. I hope it is everything you wanted! That part is always difficult to get right!
Andrew
It is Andrew I am enjoying it I have thought of buying the pro wildlife canon 100-500 RF lens but the £2500 price is holding me back 🤔
I’m using two systems at the moment the canon for wildlife and the pentax k3 etc for landscape/seascapes Etc 🙂
