Just got myself a second hand Olympus 45mm f1.8 lens from E-Bay and it is my first Olympus prime lens. I did think about getting the 17mm f1.8 or the 25mm f1.8 but I already have the TT Artisans 17mm f1.4 and a 25mm f1.8 both being manual focus of course. What surprised me the most about the 45mm was just how small and light it is.

Nice lens! I have four Pen cameras and all of the old Pen Primes and am very partial to the 45 f/1.8 (my first Olympus Prime purchase).

I use my 45mm f/1.8 mainly for portraits and pet photography. It is sometimes fast enough to use in low light without flash.

A very nice, small lens. Because of its small size, it is in my bag for almost all my trips.

Great lens. The downside of its size & short barrel makes the nearest focus distance rather unimpressive.

You'll find it a lot sharper than most adapted 50mm SLR lenses.

Me too! I have it with me all the time although I use the Olympus 25mm f1.8 a bit more. The 45mm is visibly sharper though. I always enjoy using these two lenses with my EM5iii although it's hard to resist the output from my Z6 at times. 😁
