So there's been a fair amount of talk regarding the buffer and if crop mode allows more shots etc.
Well, I did some testing and the results are weird to be straight up with the findings.
I set it up so the camera would write to one card, I set it as jpeg to give the best results.
I then shot full bursts until the buffer was filled.
Here's where things got weird...
Full image (no crop) = 53
1.3x crop = 48
1.7x crop = 59
So, for some reason (that escapes me) using 1.3x crop will give the least amount of images until the buffer is filled. The actual shooting speed for the burst didn't seem to be any different between full image or either crop mode.
