With the rumors all pointing at a Q3 release in the near future what are you most excited about?

The first time I stumbled upon the Q(2) was when searching for a 28mm lens for my M11. The Q2 seems to be a good proposition for an alternative to a M-mount lens. The Q3 will be even better.

Wrong forum, this should be in the Leica Q talk. Sorry.

I would like to see, but it probably won't happen, options for the Q3 body with different focal length lenses, e.g., 35 and maybe a 50.

I bet it will pretty much be the same as it is but with the M11 sensor.

A longer focal lens makes no sense because if you have a wide angle you can crop all what you want, but you can make wider a tighter shot.

You are probability. However, Leica did not say "absolutely not" when asked sometime back. The advantage over cropping is to maintain a thin DOF. Also if one can crop a 28 to 50 with good quality, then one could crop a 50 to an 85 with good quality. One of the smartest things Sigma did with the X3 Foveon chip was to introduce three versions of the DP3 camera - each with a different focal length. If Leica came out with a 50 mm version of the Q3 I would be much more likely to buy it to pair with my Q2M than I would to buy Q3 with a 28 mm lens.

It's me Greg. How are things down in San Antone? I am sure the Q3 will be released with the same 28 mm. I would like to see a 50 mm version also. I don't think a 35 makes any sense since the crop from 28 to 35 on a 61 mm sensor will be just fine. Well it happen - who knows.

I have a q2m and love it probably won't be worth upgrading to a q3m.

    I agree, Truman...
I think what Ricoh has done with the GR3 and GR3X has been very successful for them (although the GR3X is a 40mm, and I would also prefer a 50mm option). The idea of having a regular Q3 with the existing 28mm then adding a new "Q3X" (extended?) model with a 50mm F2 seems an ideal pairing. I'd be very tempted to get both.

The M11 sensor with a higher rez EVF would be nice. I’ve been contemplating the Q2 and I’m curious to see how the 3 would differ.

Or possibly not, if it turns out to be a disappointing incremental improvement…

    I bet will be easier to find a Q3 than a Fuji X100V. 😂

But if rumours are accurate, the Q3 is likely to be around four times the price of the X100V!

Well, people are trying to sell X100Vs at twice their retail price, around $2000-$2400 which is crazy, so the Q3 will be more like 3-times that 😂

It’s brutal now with the pricing

Yeah, I also think the Q3 will be priced way higher. It is also crazy how the price went to the moon during the Q2’s lifetime. If the same thing would happen with the Q3 we would be talking about ~10,000 bucks which is ridiculous.
