I'm looking forward for all the Q3 speculation and rumors to be over. 🤗

Paraphrased: I can’t wait for the Q3 to finally arrive 🫠

The first credible (but not confirmed) photos of the Q3 have appeared on the ‘Leica Rumours” site. Seemingly thicker owing to a flip out screen, rearranged and simplified controls on the rear, not much else worthy of note from the photos, but the real improvements will (hopefully) be on the inside!

There seem to be some ergonomics changes, e.g., two instead of one thumb button. I hope that Q3 implements proper BBF (not optimistic, though),

Like iPhone....the iPhone 14 is getting less higher reviews than the 13. When will this come true to all of these renditions of the Q3? I can see it has a tilting screen etc...but eventually these camera's can go only so far and for someone who has a Q2 or Q1 or even a CL or whatever, are just going to be content with that. That is true and especially at that high of a price if they approach $7000-$10,000 mark. $6,000 now with the Q2...Yikes. No thanks.... I will stick with my old OM-1 film cameras and my $12 TriX :-)

For every new feature added, there are some to which it might be a positive but are those where it is a negative. The tilting LCD for example I find as a negative rather than a positive especially since it is making the camera a little larger and adds mechanisms that can fail, like ribbon cables and an extended LCD can get caught and damaged. No thank you. I don't have a lot of interest in the color Q3 but might the Q3M. But given my Q2M there is no way 12 more MP is going to make me open my wallet for a Q3M - especially when they have added features that I do consider on the pro side of the ledger.

OK what Q3 brings on the table and my points for them
-More resolution....I dont think that it is an real upgrade. Yes, it is but like having a leg room already enough for my legs has been upgraded by another 10".[By the way I am 185cm ]
-Tiltable screen.. I think it is the most handy feature for me for lower POV and shooting like a twin lens reflex camera
-Better AF.. No upgrade for me as I dont use tracking AF and Panasonic old AF tech is good enough
-Ability to reduce resolution on RAW files..If you need less MP this is not an upgrade I guess
-Faster operating, shooting experience..I dont think that it is an real upgrade. Yes, it is but like having a leg room already enough for my legs has been upgraded by another 10".[By the way I am 185cm ]
    -Better video features..
A serious video shooter will need w/o audio in, full size HDMI out. Only benefit is 8K that you can zoom in w/o loosing resolution of 4K
    -Wireless charging ..
I dont think that it is an real upgrade. Yes, it is but like having a leg room already enough for my legs has been upgraded by another 10".[By the way I am 185cm ]
    -Better EVF..

Largely, on the basis of this description, I agree with you. As I mentioned in a post above, it seems to be an incremental upgrade - steps forward but not a compelling reason to upgrade, though clearly ‘better’ than the Q2. I’m even ambivalent about the tilt screen: handy occasionally but it spoils the lines of the camera and introduces points of failure (see the rumbling row about the X-Pro 3…). On the whole, I’m pleased - if it had been a compelling upgrade, I would have had to buy it, so I’m happy that (for me) it isn’t. On DPR, member ‘deednets’ estimates that to upgrade will cost around $3800…. I’m looking forward to the detailed reviews, though.
