Going through forgotten pictures from last year. Not many keepers. But here's one from a slightly overcast but nice summer's day along loch Fyris. A much nicer day than today. Still brrr here. 🥶

Still cold and wet here as well 🙁
Went out two weeks ago with the bicycle, though.

Wow, that looks like a church. Gouda, as the cheese? Is it made in your town?

Our (St. Jan) church is even bigger!
I made this panorama from the roof.
The cheese has been made for centuries on the farms in towns and villages around Gouda.
But because this is the largest market square in the wide area, they sold it here and
it became known as 'Gouda Cheese' 😉

Looks like a lovely town with lots of old houses.

Can't say Gouda is a favourite of mine. I prefer aged cheese and the Gouda we get here isn't aged at all. I suppose you have more choices. I remember Gouda tasted more when I was little, but then we had better food in general back then.

The best is what we call 'boerenkaas' - farmer's cheese.
    Semi-mature, mature or old.
Much better taste than the mass produced factory stuff.

Yummy! Those in the background look like what it was called that was popular in the 80s or maybe 90s. Bear with some fruit in it, like raspberries.

The conversation works if we all are sitting waiting for replies, probably not so much if we look for RichZ's response which may be a day later .. In fact I'm not going to do this much longer ...
