Currently, post likes are at the bottom of each post. In DPReview, at least the mobile version, they were near the top. This made it easy to skim long threads by scrolling through the posts and only reading the well-liked posts. With the likes at the bottom you can only see whether the post was liked when you already scrolled past it.

You only like the posts that other people like !

    What makes you say that?

I often skim threads, and likes are a good proxy for the most important arguments raised in a thread.

But surely you would lose the flow of the conversation and possibly interpret things out of context.
Personally, I want to know the whole story, good or bad.

I grew up with dime novels, and reading Ketchup bottle labels on the kitchen table.

As the late Paul Harvey would say...
"and now you know --- the rest of the story." lol

Good for you. To each their own.

I often don't. Which is why I'm asking this question.

So thats means in this thread you wouldn't read your own posts because nobody liked them 🤣

I can ask the question of the developers. But, I don't think it will be a high priority.

But still it’s not primarily intended for navigation but to express support. One of the small improvements this site is that you no longer have to scroll back through a long post to ‘Like’ it .

That's a very reasonable argument for keeping the like button at the bottom. Fair enough.
