I'd discovered, for example that my Phone is Portrait Mode doesn't show Private Messages however it does show it in Landscape Mode.
I had messaged Alan. It appears to have shown a Reply, with a Red 1 (Unread Message) in Portrait Mode. The Message once read disappears (the Private Message Notification)..
