*** Lonely Benches ***

Here are a couple of garden benches I made from some old farm equipment a pal of mine sold me when he recently cleared out his farm and retired, namely an old Ferguson Grubber and Potato Ridger. one stripped and repainted, the other eau naturelle.

Well done! That last one looks like it might get up and walk away in the night...

Thanks for commenting. That's a good observation. Yes, you are right. I think the bench should have faced the other way. They placed these benches at the end of the tulip fields. In this case, although, there were also tulips on the opposite side. Where I was standing was actually a pathway for people to walk. So when people would sit on these benches, they would see other people walking by and then the next tulip field beyond that. You can see that on one of the photos I showed on this week's collegial photo thread.

Edit: So I just looked at two of the images on that thread and it made me realize that the benches are actually facing the right direction. Why would that be? 😀 Well, that's because people would sit on them and then other people would take their photos with the tulips in the background.
