I take a few of these when I see them but bin a lot - it depends on the light from time of day and location/angle whether I might keep them.

CD mechanism - from an old CD player that wasn't working. Just horsing around! I can see that it is important to have the "planes" parallel. It is fun to turn the gears manually and watch things move. It's pretty tight and has a "heavy" feel to it. I should have moved the teapot on the counter! LOL. :-)

No balls of fluff in sight, intriguing.
Good subject for some weird lighting ?
(Plenty of Chrissy lights floating around, I've noticed.)

    Nice set.
Saw one in the yard yesterday, just waiting for me to rush in for a cam and break my neck.
Might plan ahead seeing they're around.

Totally off-topic, but technical question - do all users see Ron generated small images? Answer only when one does not see them :)
If not, then I would suggest Ron not to delete attachments. There have been cases when some user has deleted the attachment, but not preview of it - and resulting image is not visible to some users.

BTW, this makes interesting idea for forum development - display images in quotes at much smaller size.

    Ta Doc.

As I mentioned above, it looks like Mobile is a problem.
We may have to consider the right balance next week or ditch it completely.
I'm sure the Forum software has more bells in it than we can see, but for the moment .....
Not even sure I can include a direct link to the OP ?

Ron, I am not sure what you are trying to achieve.

If you are trying to make the quoted images appear smaller, 2 days ago in your reply to my A. Emerald dragonfly you succeeded. But every post since has shown the missing image in link graphic.
However the smaller thumbnails then broke the in-browser viewer - showed them small but couldn't enlarge - nor could see them full screen by r clicking and open in new tab/window.

If you just don't want to see them, you can highlight the text and click the "quote" popup button.
Or, click the quote button and delete the text that looks like gobbledygook.

Otherwise, as Arvo mentioned, it wouldn't be a bad idea if quoted images appeared smaller but retained their clickable status - to still see full screen. But that would be backend functionality.

[Edit] Also, when quoting messages, it is necessary to scroll down beyond the last /quote tag.

I asked a long time ago could the browser code insert the cursor at the end of the quoted message but it was never implemented. There are some who have been using this site since its inception who still haven't worked that out, and their reply gets added in with the OP's text - and sometimes all sorts of other weirdness...

    Ta Bryan,

Are you on a standard Win laptop with a standard browser ?
(The reason you could see the early ones, was the links were still in the post.
Unfortunately, that is a link to an unwanted thumbnail, so I've been trying to kill it off.)
We'll spitball it around next week , properly.
