For my part, I acquired the small Pentax Q (2011), the first of its kind, brand new for $288 CAD in 2013
These little Qs are really tiny and very light, only 180g.

These cameras are pleasant to use, but a little too small for my taste, and as always, a camera without a viewfinder quickly becomes unpleasant to use on sunny days.

The Pentax Q was promoted as the world's smallest and lightest interchangeable-lens digital camera at its launch.
There are four versions to my knowledge, all with a 12 MP sensor

    Pentax Q (2011)
    Pentax Q10 (2012)
    Pentax Q7 (2013)
    Pentax Q-S1 (2014)

It was a great time (early 2010s) for Pentax enthusiasts with the Pentax Q, the MF 645D and 645Z, the K-5 and the famous K-01, etc...

Here are the five comparisons I made with my Pentax Q, which is already celebrating its 15th anniversary this year (2011-2026)

Love, love, love my Pentax Q. You do great comparisons between the Q and other cameras. I've never seen such informative comparisons between Q and Nikon J1 and Key Mission. Fun to see and study them. As usual, you invested a lot of time into these comparisons. Appreciate all the effort spent setting up these comparisons. I enjoy viewing them.

Was so excited when I heard Pentax was doing a digital version of their Auto 110 film camera. Bought a new original Q the day it arrived at the camera shop. Hard to believe it is 15 years old. Have all the Q lenses, except the toy tele. Need to remedy that. Also have a black and silver Q7.

I've always enjoyed shooting multiple formats. I have film formats from Minox B to Kodak 8X10. A Beseler 45 handled everything except the 5X7 and 8X10 cameras. One thing I love about Pentax digital is Q thru 645 use the same basic menu. This makes it easy to interchange formats without a hitch.

Your camera collection is amazing. The figurine collection is awesome as well.
    Thanks for sharing,

It's great to see a true enthusiast 😉
Thank you so much for the positive feedback, it's always nice to read 👍🏼
Your comments brings back fond memories of when I was much younger, I had a darkroom equipped with a Beseler that allowed me to make enlargements from 6x9 negatives and produce 16x20 prints
But life is so much easier these days thanks to digital technology 😎
Thanks again for stopping by, and here’s to great photos in 2026…
