Had a loooooong shoot today and boy, did I make mistakes. 30ft ceilings, mirrors everywhere, wood paneling....m/43 was not cutting it with a flash and light bounce, not that I had anything else that would do the job as well. Shooting 1600 iso all day. Had little choice. Absolutely terrified to look at stuff. Even more fun, 3/4 of the way into the event, that's when my main lens decided autofocus, nah, that's for those "other" lenses. Grand. Thank goodness I over prepared and had a kit lens with me for the last 2 hours.

Don;t you just hate it when that happens.

I was booked to do a friends wedding many years ago. Just got my new Canon 20D and a Sigma 18-200 lens. Luckily I checked it out the day befor and it was front focussing like mad - really really OOF pictures. Like you, luckily I had the 18-55 kit lens with me (and another camera), so I got away with it. But I still shudder at what might have been, if I hadn't checked.
