Shot over the past week, but none of these from today. I have not looked at today's yet.

Very nice flowers and very nice photography, Andrew. Your irises are so nice. Good idea to grow the poppies for your back. Does stooping to shoot flowers hurt your back? It sure does mine, but it is not lasting. When I quit making pictures the pain relents fairly quickly. My back, hips, and legs like the Kia. The driver's seat has nice support and goes back far enough to touch the back seat and I have to stretch my leg to fully depress the clutch. I can get my back very sore and the Kia will relax it. Can your Hyundai do that? Rich

    Thanks Rich.

Unfortunately bending to take images does hurt. That is one of the reasons I stopped stacking images. The shorter the time bent over the better. The radiologist’s report on my back and neck was far too long enumerating the large number of degenerative disks! It would seem it is royally screwed up.

Driving in the new Hyundai is much better than the old one. The support is better and the seats are more comfortable. The pony seems ok but we have not gone any distance in it since the accident last year, just a few short drives. The Rav4 is less comfortable for me than the Hyundai.

3:30and I should be asleep but …. Not in pain, just not asleep.

    Not much activity here lately.

The air here was much better today! Still no rain though.

    What's happened to your back?

I think the low activity is because people are split up between different forums now, DPR still being one of them.

Car accident 28th of March last year. It aggravated a back already in distress. It has been sore every day since. Some days are very bad and others bearable. Before it would get sore a couple of times per year but usually clear up in a few days Waiting for an MRI an a referral to a specialist.

Yes, the splitting of participants is a large factor.

I didn't know that. I'm sorry. I've seen you've mentioned back pain a couple of times, but I thought it was just temporary. I guess you can be glad you are alive, but it doesn't sound fun. Is there no help to get?

Funny, my real life is in kind of a limbo in other ways (the castle plans ruined at least for now by an aggressive prick in the east...) and now forum life feels much the same way.

I had stopped for a yellow light Charlotte. A large box truck (about a 10 m box on back) did not stop and my car was written off. I got a new car but the back seems permanently damaged. I will not know what can be done until I see a specialist after the MRI.

That same aggressive individual has cost us many thousands of dollars of investment money. Most has now been converted to 'safe' holdings but there is still a small exposure to some dividend funds in my holdings. I did not want to cash in all the other investments but it seemed the prudent thing to do.

Yeah, the forum life is not the same..😒 I guess there is still a chance it could pick up though. Fingers crossed!

OK, so they are under investigation, so to speak. That's good. Hope they find a way to help you.

It doesn't feel right to complain about losing money and opportunities when people are dying and suffering real hardship over there, but it's hard not to. I was so happy about moving and had already began to plan what berries I would grow and things like that. And it feels impossible to make decisions right now. My flat needs to be renovated, badly. But if I'm going to sell it's no point. I'd get a little more for it, but hardly more than it would cost me, so just a lot of work for nothing. But if I'm going to stay a good time would be now. My savings lose value by the day and builders and other craftsmen have a hard time so it should be possible to get a good deal. But since I don't know how this will play out I can't decide and the result is I do nothing. I haven't even fixed everything after the house job. I lost some shelves in the the toilet and shower and things like that. I don't even bother with that and keep my bottles and stuff in a box.

And now Zaporizhzhia nuclear plant is at risk - again. Areas to the north of town still is contaminated from the Chernobyl catastrophe. One half-live has passed now, i.e. the radiation is half of what it was originally. It isn't talked about anymore, very hush-hush, and I'm probably eating stuff that has been grown in those areas, farming goes on as usual, but I sure don't pick mushrooms and berries there.

Now I've made myself depressed on top of everything! Ignore my wining or you'll be depressed too. 🤪

Twenty years ago an orthopedic surgeon advised me to quit riding a motorcycle. He told me the pile driver effect from bumps to the back can cause new damage and exacerbate existing damage. I was in so much pain that I followed his advice. After a few months I realized he was right. I wonder how driving your tractor might be increasing your plight. Rich

It does not seem to bother me Rich. I am no worse that I know of after mowing. I suspect that the mowing is the source of the degenerative part of the back problem. The accident made it far worse. One or two short episodes a year is what I used to get. That was better after I got a new to me tractor 13 years ago. It takes bout half the time to mow and the seat support for the body is much better. I looked at a new model a couple of months ago when I went in to the dealership for parts. The seat looks even better but the price is big, as much as a new Hyundai Elantra once I get the lawn deck and snow blower.

Now I wake up in pain everyday. No relief from it. Some days are not too bad and I can go and do things. It is far better now than two months ago when the pinched nerve (if that is what it was) caused the pain in the hip radiating all the way down my right leg. Then, standing and walking was extremely painful. So I am thankful that has passed for the time being. I got the 'nerve block' medication doubled a couple of days ago. It seems to help after I take it for a period of time before it wears off. It takes a while to kick in after you take it.

I think I need to find an old car image, previously unloved, and work on it. Maybe a new subject here would get more interest. Craig, Dave, Pete (cloudforest) and Joe seem to be hanging out in our old home. The answer short term may be to go back but I am reluctant to do so. DPR could disappear at any moment in time. There have been no new announcements about that not happening. I believe the non threaded view here is the killer. It made a weekly thread like we had unworkable. I see others trying to make do with it but it is just too much of a PITA for me. I suspect others had or have a grudge of some type with the people that started this site but I could be out to lunch on that aspect. A couple of people that did not provide contact information eluded to potential security issues with the site. They were not specific so I do not know what exactly that entailed. One mentioned DPRForums as being potentially more secure from that aspect. How that is an issue with posting images or general discussion I am not sure. I don't sell images (but if someone wants to buy any I would be happy to oblige, I just don't want the work involved in trying to sell.) so I don't worry much about anything being used by others.

Anyway, I am rambling. Time to finish my coffee before it is cold and I have to reheat it!

Thanks Paul. That particular image is an iris. We had a heavy rain last night at some point in time. I did not hear it but the peonies and some other tall standers got flattened!
