Sorry, but I was told I had to work on these and get them ready so .....
Worked in the garden this morning until my back was too sore to continue. I should go looking for flowers!

I see you used the 12-100, Andrew. It looks like you were closer than usual. That rink must be lit better than usual, too. One stop less worked out OK.
I especially like the last four.
I am working on adjusting to and accepting this site. If you find another option, I'll just follow along. At this time, I just don't have enough resources left to be PO'd about this mess caused by Amazon. I hope you don't stress yourself too much by hating this site. Rich

I had to shoot through the glass from ice level. You can only do that from one end at the curve or the reflections off the glass become way too noticeable. The 40 - 150 is not wide enough. The 12. - 40 is not long enough. That only leaves the 12 - 100 and it is f/4! There was an incredible amount of noise! I downloaded a trial version of DXO Photolab. It sucked!! I tried Affinity2. No go. I tried Nik Define. More crap. I tried PSP AI noise and digital noise reduction. Nope! I tried Topaz AI noise reduction, nope. The only thing that worked was Topaz Photo Ai. I used that first to get rid of the noise then Psp fill and clarity and local tone mapping because the images were rather flat and lifeless. Also some mild vibrancy for the same reason.

Thanks Rich. I can’t sleep. I could take a Benadryl And sleep until tomorrow afternoon but I will hold off and try to calm down. Playing games on my phone until I fall asleep.

    Thanks Paul.

Unfortunately if there is anything fun to do in Oshawa/Whitby, we did not find it! Just hockey and we wandered around in a shopping mall for a hour and one half. We tried their art gallery, a disappointment. We tried their botanical gardens but it was really just a small park and no flowers yet. There was a smallish automotive museum that would have been interesting but by the time we found out about it, it was 40 minutes before closing and we would still have to get there so we did not go. Too bad about that one! I like old cars!

The weather was nice here as well. Hope you had a fine weekend there Paul in the sunshine!

Hockey .. I like the player shooting the puck and the puck still in the picture and the last as the goalie gets ready to defend the goal ...

I would worry less about noise here as this action deserves a gritty look and that noise might be usable ...

    Thanks WN.

I am generally not a fan of noise WN. I have used it on rare occasions, always monochrome and never colour. None of these images shows up as they were unless you click on them and then they suffer from not fitting the screen size. I am going to have to start resizing to fit the screen when clicked to make it a better experience here for others. The processing of these actually gives a kind of plasticky cartoonish appearance.
