I love and enjoy using the A7RV because of all the programable buttons and features. The programed "My Menu" and Custom Keys allow quick changes and are simple and convenient.

Actually, getting into the manual gives a whole new outlook on the massive capabilities of the A7RV.

Looks like a cool setup. Thanks for sharing it!

Among other things, it illustrates that with each new model, Sony's cameras becomes more configurable and customizable. That's a huge upside for individual shooting styles and preferences - and makes the cameras very quick and intuitive once you get them set up and get "into a groove" with them.

I guess if there is a downside, it's that one can't expect to pick up anyone else's camera and have even the first idea what any of the buttons does... ; )

I really like the five core RAW formats, based on three file sizes on the A7R. I occasionally enjoy shooting in APS-C mode (26MP, 32.6MB file).

Yes. The "scaled" formats are a really good answer to the complaints from some that "you don't always need 60MP". Now, there is a choice.

My personal position is that I tend to prefer to shoot in the highest resolution available (and crop or downscale later, if I choose). But I still think it's great that there is now a choice, and I can envisage some shooting situations where it would be a big plus!
