Given your epic collection of cameras are there still any you would like to get your hands on 😀

Yes of course, Unfortunately for me, the vast majority remain unaffordable. 😢

    Some example:

    Contax Digital N (2002)
    Epson R-D1 (2004)
    Hasselblad H1D (2005)
    Leica R8 Digital (2005)
    Leica M8 (2006)
    Mamiya ZD 22MP (2006)
    Olympus OM-D E-M1X (2019)
    Nikon Z9 (2021)
    Hasselblad X2D (2022)
    ...

A few interesting options there the Contax N was an interesting camera first one with a full size 35mm sensor I think. The ZD still holds quite high prices. Something that always tickled my fancy were those rather ugly Hasselblad clones of Sony cameras that launched at crazy prices before tanking in the market. I was having a discussion in the other place 😀 About the E-M1X funny in the used market it and the E-M5 III are at about the same price despite its plastic bottom and the E-M1X being nearly 3x the price at launch

Indeed, the first digital FF, with a sensor manufactured by Philips. The criticisms are quite strong on the presence of noise from 100 iso. A superb camera, delivering poor-quality photos. 😱

The Mamiya ZD 22MP is the one that interests me the most, another camera with mediocre results. 😎

And the famous Olympus OM-D E-M1X, another completely illogical camera, the primary purpose of the micro 4/3 is the miniaturization of the whole and not to create a camera as bulky as an FF. 🤡

I would have a lot of fun making comparisons with these three cameras 😈

I was just reading a review of the Contax and as you say the noise above 100 ISO seems to have been a let down imagine what a 6mp FF sensor with todays tech would be capable. Better not let the E-M1x fans see your post , they take offence when I have pointed out the exact same 😀 For me it was a not so tiny camera in a relatively niche format with niche appeal even within the format. The used value I think reflects this and I suspect that quite a few E-M1x bodies were traded towards OM-1's . Even though I will only ever use a fraction of what it is capable of I am having some fun with the computational stuff

I had forgotten the most important, for compacts, I am looking for a single camera!
    The little Chinon ES-1000 (1996)
Here it's not about price, but the difficulty of finding one. 😁

I could not find one of them with the old google . There was some dude on Flickr with the ES-3000 😀

For the story of the Chinon ES-1000, I've only seen it twice on eBay in over 25 years of research.
The ES-3000 is much easier to find. 😎 I found my copy in 1999 😄
