I really enjoyed this thread and the others you have made here and previously at DPR. Clearly you’ve a tremendous collection of digital cameras.
I have a smallish collection of film cameras (about 150 so far) and of course there are several books where the history of film cameras can be studied. But there is nothing, as far as I am aware, about digitals.
So…have you ever considered producing a book with, say, one camera per page documenting the early history for a much wider audience than just here. I’d buy a copy for sure.

It's funny, it's not the first time that I've been told about a book or even a museum.
Two fantasies that I have already cherished in the past. Unfortunately, I don't have the means or the ability to achieve one or the other. But it seems that you should never say never! So maybe one day. 😃

Had a much smaller 9.2x13.8mm sensor and a 2.6X factor
A 50mm mounted on a DCS 410 behaves like a 130mm in (24x36)

In comparison the Kodak DCS 460 with its 6 million pixels its big sensor of 18.4x27.6 mm for a factor of 1.3X and a hallucinating price of more than $36,000 USD!

I visited a camera museum in Vevey, Switzerland last summer. They’d undoubtedly love your collection. It would be perfect there.

If you donate all that stuff they’ll probably fly you out to deliver it.
It really is a lovely museum. They go back to the raspiest cameras. They even built a camera obscure room that you can walk inside.
