    1st mirrorless

After the smartphone devastated the compact camera market.
Here is the first ML, which will undermine the DSLR industry!

    Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 (2008)

    Panasonic Lumix DMC-G1 (2008)

    12mp sensor (4000x3000)
    Micro 4/3 (x2 factor)
    Storage: SD card
    $750 CAD

I bought this little ML when it came out, intrigued and charmed by its smallness.
Canon and Nikon certainly did not feel threatened by ML in 2008 😄

I have two of the SD14's (used for IR) and a G1 but my G1 isn't that fancy red colour :)

    Hi,

Yeah. He went thru all the old stuff I had and now he's into stuff I skipped over. Eventually he will get to the Pentax 645D with 40 MP Kodak CCD and I can comment again. :)

While most of my cameras are black, not all are. One of my 5x4 cameras is grey, and I have a gold Pentax QS1.
Several of the intermediate sized one are silver, green or brown too.
Black does reduce the chances my wife will recognise it as a new camera, so has definite plus points.

We haven't got enough space for me to slip in a spare car, so it doesn't become an issue there!

There is indeed a version “Lacquered Limited edition Pentax 645D DSLR Camera”

I didn't find the D3S that big an improvement over the D3, but I still bought two of them. The D3 was that camera that prompted me to sell all my Canon gear.

I never had the chance to have a Nikon D3 or a D700 in my hands.
I would have liked to compare the iso between the two (D3 / D3s), one day perhaps.
