In 2013, the Sony a7 shook things up in the world of 24x36 cameras, dominated at the time by Canon and Nikon.

The advantages and disadvantages of both formats are clearly visible here.
Proving once again that having two sensor formats can be very useful in different circumstances.

The little Rebels of 2003 and 2013

Who has owned the first Canon EOS Digital Rebel?

In 2003 we were looking at the latest DSLR releases that hovered around $2,000
And suddenly Canon releases a $1,000 US Digital Rebel !!
It's the panic of the small world of digital photography, and everyone is starting to readjust their prices.
It's the golden age for photographers like me, who were waiting.
And between 2003 and 2005, a total reversal of the situation, where film cameras almost completely disappeared

They simply need to be recharged at least once a year if possible, or buy new batteries on eBay.
Or call on specialists to make something new out of something old, like here:

Like the Kodak DCS 200 (1992) or the Minolta RD-3000 (1999) or the Fujifilm FinePix cameras etc.

Tribute to all the first FF !

I well remember in 2002 the arrival of Canon's first FF with its impressive 11.1MP.
What a beautiful machine for its time, but this $8,000 US made it inaccessible for the vast majority of us.

Then eleven years later, another pleasant surprise, this time with the arrival of the first FF ML
With a more reasonable price of $1,700 US, we all know the rest...
