I’d like to see the forward/backward & first/last buttons appear on the top of each page, as well as the bottom. I’m finding myself doing a lot of down-scrolling just to get to those buttons (which currently appear at bottom only).

That was the second feature I ask for too, after a notifications bell. Oh and dark mode 😂

Are you talking about desktop or mobile view?
On desktop, navigation buttons are both at the top and bottom of page. On mobile only at bottom.
Dark theme is actually present, not ideal yet. If you are on mobile, you can change themes in landscape view. -

We know mobile view isn't that good. It's in the plans to make it better.
